Born in Montreal, Aviva holds a PhD in Canadian drama. She has written some 25 plays on Jewish themes for young and adult audiences. Her plays toured schools, organizations, and theatres across Canada, and have been performed in the U.S.A. Italy, Ireland...Awards include Canada Council grants, Association for Canadian Theatre Research and Playwrights Guild of Canada awards, I.Y.Segal award for Education in Drama, Women Write for Theatre and Quebec Drama Festival Awards.
