Jewish Ensemble Theatre

Our mission is to produce theatre of the highest professional standards and to provide a stage for the exploration of ideas that confront issues of humanity and community from the Jewish perspective.

JET will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary season! In addition to our Main Stage season we also present an Education Outreach
season consisting of three original works, commissioned by JET, which will tour to schools September 22 through October 3 and November 3 through 21, 2008 and May 4 through 22, 2009. They are: I Was Just Kidding by Marshall Zweig, Mean Girls by Maddee Sommers and Word by Gabe Bernstein and David Anderson. Our annual production of The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman will be presented at the Detroit Institute of Arts theatre March 23 - April 3, 2009 at 10 AM weekdays and 12:30 PM on Sunday, March 29.
